Built for Faster Long Hauls
The two-axle configuration is designed for longer cycles on better haul roads, combining ADT all-weather capability with the speed and hauling efficiency expected from rigid-style transport.
Two-axle efficiency, 4x4 traction and full hydro-gas suspension make the HA45A 4x4 a high-output hauler for longer quarry and construction routes in all-weather conditions.
The Hyundai HA45A 4x4 is designed for high-output haul cycles where routes are longer and road conditions are more stable, combining the speed and efficiency of a rigid-style hauler with all-wheel-drive traction and articulation. Its two-axle twin-rear-wheel layout, balanced chassis and full hydro-gas suspension support confident higher-speed travel while maintaining control on gradients and in poor weather.
Payload monitoring and overload indication help maximise every cycle, while limited-slip differentials, a lockable longitudinal differential and retarder-equipped transmission give operators strong traction and controlled downhill performance. The spacious cab, upgraded digital information system and service-friendly layout are designed to reduce fatigue and downtime across demanding quarry and civil-engineering operations.
The two-axle configuration is designed for longer cycles on better haul roads, combining ADT all-weather capability with the speed and hauling efficiency expected from rigid-style transport.
Front and rear limited-slip differentials, a manually lockable longitudinal differential and a front-mounted turning ring help maintain balanced traction through changing site conditions.
Self-levelling hydro-gas suspension at both axles improves ride quality and stability, helping operators maintain productive haul speeds with greater comfort and control.
Integrated payload and overload indication, downhill retarding and body-stability protection help operators manage loads and tipping cycles safely and consistently.

An articulated dump truck, commonly shortened to ADT and sometimes called an articulated dumper, is an off-road hauling machine with a pivoting articulation joint between the tractor and body sections. This design helps the truck manoeuvre and maintain traction on uneven ground. ADTs are used to move large volumes of soil, rock and other bulk material on construction, quarrying, mining and major earthmoving projects.
ADTs are designed for repeated haul cycles where material needs to be moved efficiently across a site. Typical applications include quarry overburden, bulk earthmoving, major infrastructure, site stripping, cut-and-fill work and mining support. Their combination of payload, traction, suspension and articulated steering makes them particularly useful where haul roads are rougher or tighter than those normally used by rigid dump trucks.
An ADT uses articulated steering and is designed for strong mobility on changing or uneven ground. A rigid dump truck uses a single rigid chassis and is typically most productive on well-developed haul roads where very high payload and long production runs are the priority. The right choice depends on payload target, haul distance, gradients, underfoot conditions, turning space and the quality of the haul road.
A 6×6 ADT uses three axles and is typically selected for demanding off-road conditions where ground contact, traction and rough-terrain mobility are priorities. A two-axle 4×4 ADT can suit operations that place more emphasis on longer haul cycles and better-developed haul roads while retaining articulated steering and off-road capability. The best layout depends on site conditions, gradients, haul distance and loading requirements.
Payload is the mass of material the truck is designed to carry, usually stated in tonnes. Body capacity describes the volume the dump body can hold and may be quoted as level or heaped capacity. Material density matters because a body can reach its weight limit before it is visually full. For efficient loading, the ADT, material density and loading machine should be matched so payload targets can be achieved without overloading.
ADT design focuses on traction, suspension movement, ground contact and articulated steering. Features such as independent or hydro-gas suspension, differential systems and purpose-built off-road tyres help the truck maintain control over uneven haul roads. Exact performance varies by model and configuration, and safe operation still depends on suitable haul-road design, gradients, surface condition, loading practice and site rules.
A productive loading match aims to fill the ADT in a sensible number of passes without overloading either machine. Consider the truck payload and body volume together with the excavator bucket or wheel loader bucket size, material density and cycle time. Haul distance and the number of trucks in the fleet also matter, because the best loading combination is the one that keeps both the loading machine and the haulers working efficiently.
The price of a Hyundai ADT depends on payload class, drivetrain configuration, body specification, tyre choice, safety systems and other options. Site requirements can also influence the final build. Rygor Plant can discuss the current Hyundai articulated dump truck range, including 6×6 and 4×4 configurations where available, and provide current pricing and commercial information for the application.
