CRAWLER SKID-EXCAVATORS
the speed of a loader...
Combined With The Rotation Of An Excavator
Speed
That’s Mecalac unique innovation in motion.
The MCR models are 100% faster than traditional small excavators, capable of traveling at speeds of up to 10 km/h (6.2 mph), which is double that of standard small excavators. This increased speed significantly reduces the time spent moving across the job site, leading to shorter cycle times. Consequently, coworkers experience fewer delays waiting for the excavator to arrive, which enhances the overall workflow.
Moving up to 0.75m³ at 10km/h
MCRs are not only fast; they are specifically designed to efficiently transport larger volumes of cubic meters (m³) compared to traditional excavators. Our hydrostatic transmission motors possess the power to tackle any task. By resting the bucket against the blade, we eliminate any restrictions on the movement of the boom and stick.
Productivity
Move more at each bucket
The right bucket size for fast works.
Would you choose to keep your 0.30 m³ (0.39 yd³) bucket if you had the option to use a larger 0.53 m³ (0.69 yd³) one?
Equipping your MCR with a skid bucket can help reduce the number of trips needed when loading a truck or allow you to spread dirt directly into a trench while moving forward to refill. There is nothing faster or easier than achieving a finely graded ground level, similar to what a compact loader can do. This is yet another way to significantly reduce your total cycle times.
Do you need to push heavy loads? No problem!
To increase your loading capacity, position the skid bucket against the blade and push it, the force from the undercarriage transfers directly to the bucket.
360°
Compactness
Why would you invest in something smaller if it is still cumbersome?
Space is often limited in every direction on a tight and congested worksite. This is also the case for our excavators, which are designed to be compact not only at the rear but also at the front and overhead. Achieving true 360° compactness allows you to maximize the benefits of a compact machine, enhancing both manoeuvrability and stability. By fully retracting the boom, the reduced weight at the front helps maintain balance.
