Rygor (a UK Best Workplace for Development™) invests in its Next Gen with Dedicated Training and Development Initiatives

We’re delighted to say that we’ve launched our Future Leaders Programme for 2025 and started the search for Rygor’s 2025 Apprentice cohort.

These programmes reflect our belief that every individual should have the opportunity to grow, thrive, and build a fulfilling career.

Developing Leaders from Within

The Future Leaders Programme is a bespoke internal initiative that supports ambitious individuals across Team Rygor who are ready to develop the skills needed for exceptional leadership. Designed to build confidence, strategic thinking, and people skills, the programme gives team members the tools they need to succeed—now and in the future.

One of our 2024 Future Leader Programme cohort, Eoin Collins, shared his experience, saying: “I would highly recommend anyone who is given the opportunity to do this training. My biggest takeaway is how much my own self-confidence and decision-making has improved. I really enjoyed the whole course and found it incredibly valuable. Amongst other areas, I now have better understanding of how people ‘tick’, relative to their personality type, which helps me support my incredible team, and crucially – I learned which category I personally fall into – so I can continue to develop my own skills.

Eoin continued: “The course is outstanding and provides support, development and encouragement. I am sure everyone who has been selected to participate this year finds Future Leaders as valuable as I did.”

Eoin’s journey with Rygor started in 2020, when he joined the business as Aftersales Advisor at our Heathrow Truck Centre, before specialising as a Parts Advisor in 2023. Last year, due to his hard work and commitment to his carer pathway and progression, Eoin was promoted into the role of Assistant Manager at Rygor’s Parts Hub, and role that has been supported by his participation in Rygor’s Future Leader programme.

Recruiting the Next Generation of Team Rygor

At Rygor, we believe in investing in the future—building careers, developing skills, and creating opportunities for the next generation of industry professionals, and our 2025 Apprentice Recruitment Programme is officially open for applications!

Our apprenticeships provide a dynamic, hands-on learning experience where individuals can gain industry-recognised qualifications while working alongside our expert team, including their own dedicated mentor.

In addition, our apprentice’s benefit from:

• Access to Rygor’s in-house, award-winning Training and Development Programme –with access to support like our Self Development Journal, ongoing and additional training opportunities, and lots more.

• A full yearly apprentice events calendar – to recognise and reward dedication and hard work, and to enable apprentices to meet together, and build professional relationships.

• Branded uniform.

• Rygor’s established Reward and Recognition Programme, including our annual Group Awards, ‘just because’ treats, and a birthday cake on their first Rygor birthday!

• Technician’s toolbox and tools awarded upon successful completion of year one.

• Plenty of physical and mental wellbeing support resources, offered through Rygor’s award-winning Wellness Programme. This includes the opportunity to take part in all our Team Rygor activities and events – often in conjunction with our Charities of the Year Programme.

Year One LCV Apprentice, Hector, based at Rygor Auto Reading, shared: “I love working for Rygor because everyone I work with is so knowledgeable and willing to help. My apprenticeship allows me to hone my skills, learn on the job, and work on really interesting vehicles—something I’ve wanted to do since I was a child.”

We’re incredibly proud to support the next generation of talent in building meaningful careers with us, and to support our team even further – in 2024, we launched the Rygor Self Development Journal – to help team members take control of their personal and career growth. This reflective, goal-focused tool encourages ongoing learning and self-awareness, aligning with our company-wide culture of continuous improvement.

Paired with our extensive in-house training; our Future Leaders Programme, our Apprentice Programme, yearly appraisals month, regular 1-2-1s and manufacturer training – the Self Development Journal gives individuals the opportunity to shape their development journey—at every stage of their career.
