Wheel Excavator
The best of 2 worlds
The MWR series is a unique Mecalac solution that combines the advantages of wheeled and crawler excavators. It features improved mobility, versatility, stability, accessibility, user-friendly operation, lifting power, and profitability.
USER FRIENDLY
Optimize security for the operator as for the workers’ team of both urban and suburban construction sites:
- Maintenance feet on the ground
- Oscillation locking by the brake pedal and the joystick.
- Reduced access height
- Excellent compactness
- Optional integrated and automated cameras
- Excellent visibility
User-Friendly
Access for Easy Climbing and Descending
Thanks to the machine's lowered centre of gravity, the cabin is easily accessible for the driver, minimizing effort and reducing risk.
The cab is designed to be 20% lower than rival products on the market, making it much easier to enter and exit the vehicle. This is further facilitated by the addition of a step that has been seamlessly integrated into the machine’s design. This small step is a significant advancement in improving safety on worksites.
The quest for simplicity: Driving our research
The MWR presents an innovative approach to interacting with construction vehicles. It features a completely redesigned ergonomic design, both inside and out, along with a unique interface that enhances accessibility and safety.
Every action taken by the driver is simplified, increasing protection for everyone on the worksite. When it comes to innovation, the principle of “less is more” is undoubtedly a key factor in Mecalac’s success.
Enhancing User-Friendliness
With just a single switch, drivers can effortlessly switch between parking, work, and road modes. The innovative central selector allows for easy transitions, eliminating the need for 7 to 10 separate adjustments. This unique feature provides instant configuration changes, ensuring smooth and ultra-safe driving on construction sites. Consequently, drivers can concentrate on their tasks with confidence, fully in control of the machine.
Effortless Fuelling for Your Tank
The fuel tank is designed for easy access, positioned on the undercarriage at a convenient height. This lower placement not only helps to lower the centre of gravity but also increases the tank’s capacity. As a result, drivers and fleet managers no longer need to operate at height, removing potential hazards while driving the vehicle. Unlike most other excavators with fuel tanks mounted on the upper carriage, refuelling an MWR is both straightforward and safe. Always prioritize safety during daily maintenance.
Connect ’attached’ to versatility
To enhance the safety and versatility of its machines, Mecalac has introduced Connect, a patented quick coupler recognized for its lightweight design, seamless integration, user-friendly operation, reversibility, and superior safety features.
Controlled from the cab, the Connect coupler eliminates any risk of detachment from the tool, both during connection and while in operation. It includes a detection system that alerts the driver if the tool is not properly secured, providing both visual and audible signals. Additionally, the coupler is reversible and features an automatic play compensation function, making it the ideal connection for tools and machines!
Optimal
Performances
MWR machines are equipped with numerous technical characteristics for optimal construction site management on all types of terrain.
- Naturally balanced
- All terrain capacity
- Manoeuvrability
- Agility
- Compactness
- Lifting power
Naturally balanced
The new MWRs benefit from 360° iso stability: This means the machine’s stability remains the same regardless of the rotation angle of the upper carriage.
Lift, place, move, and unload—all without changing position. The new MWRs revolutionize worksite logistics with their remarkable stability on any terrain. Regardless of the conditions, they maintain balance during both transfer operations between sites and work phases. This provides them with 360° lifting performance, which is an extraordinary achievement.
Performance Compactness
2.5 times more compact than a classic excavator
The new MWRs can be equipped with four steering wheels, enabling them to execute a U-turn almost on the spot and effectively navigate around obstacles. The goal is to maximize mobility in tight spaces.
Performance
From versatility to autonomy
Expertise is developed through experience. Our approach is founded on the principle that profitability should always be linked with ease of use and versatile functionality.
Regardless of the job, location, or corporate culture, we provide exceptional visibility, manoeuvrability, and freedom on every construction site, ensuring optimal autonomy.
Performance
Lifting power & Amplitude
The new MWRs boast an impressive lift-to-size ratio, enabling these powerful and precise machines to lift up to three tons to a height of three meters while providing 360° manoeuvrability. Equipped with a loader bucket or pallet forks, the new MWRs offer a remarkable range of capabilities, making them ideal for both loading trucks and offloading pallets efficiently.
Performance
Ground clearance
The lowered centre of gravity does not affect the height of the ground clearance, which is a unique aspect of Mecalac’s design. To keep the machine mobile on uneven terrain, it maintains an adequate height to prevent scraping and reduce the risk of damaging the undercarriage.
